Visit Cineteket, Ystad movie museum that is located next to Ystad Studios! There are activities for all ages.

Cineteket in Ystad

In addition to insight into how a film goes to, given visitors a chance to see the movie shows, try to make their own animations, meet the people behind the films, try filming tricks, and more.

Visitors can follow the work of making a Swedish film in our film exhibition - which begins with storytelling and ends with a visit to our cozy little short film cinema. On the way there are given the opportunity to create their own stories, learn about film production, go into the movie scenes and read the screenplay, and try to animate and make himself trick shot with a blue screen.

We are particularly proud of our unique collection Wallander Props consisting of scenery, clothes and props from both the Swedish and English productions. For children and adults we can offer a "police play house" where you can photograph yourself as criminals, shoot with Wallander's weapon and try fingerprinting.

Studio Walk in combination with Cineteket

During s ummer 2011, visitors can get a guided tour of the "real movie studio," Ystad Studios where many movies have been recorded, including the BBC Wallander, Frostbite, the only rational, SVT Milky Way and Svinalängorna. In the studio you can see among other scenes from the space rocket from SVT Milky Way. The guided tours are offered three times a week and they are sold as a package deal in conjunction with the visit of Cineteket.

This unique offering is in collaboration with Ystad Studi os and Film i Skåne.
