Communication

The hectic rush of the city, the incessant noise of vehicles, the traffic jams and stress including parking problems all seem a distant cry here in Ystad.

We are close to an unspoilt nature, endless beaches and an expansive sea.Only the sound of waves can be heard.
However we also have the world just around the corner.

The Öresund Bridge, Bornholms Trafikken’s catamaran and the train allow two of Den-mark’s most interesting destinations, Co-penhagen and Bornholm, to lie within com-muting distance from Ystad and the surroun-ding countryside. Within an hour by train or bus, with several daily departures, or an hour by car you can be in Copenhagen.

On a half day crossing with the ferry to Poland you can visit the historical sights and the rich cultural life, which makes our neighbour in the south one of the more interesting tourist sights in eastern Europe.

Malmö can be reached by car via the E65 motorway in about 40 minutes, 45 minu-tes approximately with Skånetrafiken’s Pågatåg train.

Should you wish to travel eastwards you take the Pågatåg train directly to Simris-hamn through Köpingebro and Tomelilla. Ystad – Simrishamn takes 40 minutes.

Arriving to Ystad by plane, the nearest air-port is Malmö Airport/Sturuo between Ystad and Malmö.

Copenhagen’s International Airport Kastrup is almost as near and from there you can take a train. From Sturup there is an avai-lable airport taxi.

Use the Search Function in the right hand column at the top of the page and find your own transport alternatives.
